• Common Combustible Solids: ABC Chemical Powder is an excellent agent to use against typical fires in your home or office because it will completely smother fires involving wood, plastics, paper, fabrics, and so on.
Do NOT use ABC Chemical Powder for oxidizer fires or chlorine fires because this may result in an explosive chemical reaction that produces toxic gases. ABC Dry Chemical Powder is also inappropriate for Class D metal fires. Do not use it to combat fires involving oils and fats, such as those that typically occur in kitchens, as this may result in re-flashes and re-ignitions.
